Day 1: Arrive to BnB

Friday

Total Distance: 28 miles

We drive two cars to Twin Lakes and dropped off one of our vehicles there. We start at the Angel of Shavano Campground on the Collegiate East, hike 10.5 miles South Fooses Creek to the junction with Collegiate West for lunch, and then north on the Collegiate West to Twin Lakes. 1699 ft/1034 ft gain/loss, Colorado Trail Segments 14 and 15.

Total Distance: 36 miles

We start early from South Fooses Creek to Hunt Lake: 18.6 miles, 3733 ft/2032 ft elevation gain/loss, Colorado Trail Segment 15 and Collegiate West 5.

We take a lunch break before Hunt Lake to North Fork Chalk Creek: 18.6 miles, 3096 ft/3492 ft elevation gain/loss, Colorado Trail, Collegiate West 4 and 5.

Welcome to Stavanger! Our official meet-up is at the hotel at 3:30 PM. For those arriving by air, a single, scheduled airport transfer will be available from Stavanger Airport (SVG) at approximately 3:00 PM. Your guide will meet you upon arrival for the drive to the hotel. We’ll start the afternoon with coffee, followed by a short guided tour of beautiful Old Stavanger, renowned for its more than 170 preserved white wooden houses. Afterward we gather for our welcome group dinner.
